HANS SCHULTHEISS

Besides his work as a passionate filmmaker and storyteller creative director Hans-Christoph Schultheiss is a loving father, caring husband and a trusty friend who is constantly struggling with the ever present problem that the day has far too few hours. Since he decided to dive into professional insanity in 2004, he has indulged his passion for working late. This made it possible for him to obtain a design diploma with honours in 2008 whilst working fulltime and freelance for several animation studios. He now feels quite at home at Sehsucht in Hamburg and enjoys going crazy with a group of skilled artists. He loves good stories, well-timed animations and exotic frogs. Yet, he hates tomatoes! In celebrating his split personality through his alter ego HANZOHANZO, not only allows him to write about himself from a third person perspective without feeling completely snobbish, but he can also express his diverse tastes for visual storytelling. Hans is lucky enough to be a designer and director of animated movies for clients like Lamborghini, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Skoda and Sony who have received awards at, among  others, ADC, VDW, Animago, Red Dotand the New York Festivals.

WE THINK THINGS

We Think Things is a colorful design studio specialized in motion graphics, character animation and other thoughtful things. It was founded by motion graphics artists and directors Pascal Monaco and Felix Meyer (both born 1986 in Hannover). They studied communication design with an emphasis on 2D animation and graduated in 2011 with the short film Hitch. As a design duo and directing team, they are mainly driven by the urge to tell a story. While being influenced by the simplicity of graphic design they soon started to focus on a more minimalistic and colorful approach to motion design and animation. Their work has been screened on festivals in Berlin, Paris and New York and was awarded at ADC Germany Junior Awards in 2011.
